The start of a long and healthy forum (I hope)

Greetings.

Creating this forum is an experiment -- one that I've thought about for a long time. Writing a book, The Couple's Guide to Love & Money, was one of the most rewarding and difficult things I've ever done. Getting the idea, submitting a proposal, writing it, and promoting it has been a series of amazing experiences. I discovered a lot that I'd like to share with other aspiring authors. I also enjoy the comraderie of other writers, learn a lot from them, and need encouragement to keep writing.

For the past 2 years, I worked on writing a book and it was an amazing experience of doubts and delights. Creating the book was energizing and then I hit the publishing stage. I was stuck. With the help of Jonathan Rich I got through. His words and encouragment came at time when I needed them the most. I am glad that he created this site so that he and others can also offer hope and encouragement to others. We all need it for time to time. My book Visit With Sofia, will be available on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and Xlibris in December 2008. Good luck, Jonathan, I hope that this website and forum are an inspiration to many.

thank you to the admin for creating this forum. I am an aspiring writer. I have also a dream to become an author. Does anyone there can give me any idea...on how to start writing a book, what are the qualities that makes an excellent writer.

P.s. to the admin, could you make a subforum wherein we can post our articles. I think this is the best way, that we can help each other on how to harness our creative thinking to develop our skills in writing. Every member of this forum will evaluate the content of the articles posted and then give their constructive criticism to the author of the article on how to improve the content of his/her article.

Welcome! Maybe you could start by talking about your areas of expertise or interest? We can help you to focus and make suggestions about how to create a saleable book.

Your idea about a subforum for posting articles is an excellent one -- as soon as I have a chance I'll add that.

Hey I have yet to write a book but My dream is to become a Fantasy Author.
The only setback is that every time I start to write a book I get stumped and quit writing.
This forum will probably be a big help!!
